A.k.a

Also called parked domain, is a new domain name that you can add and redirect to your initial site. (mysite.ma -> mysite.com)

Anti spam

Spam is unsolicited email. Anti-spam therefore is all the technical means used to deal with this type of email.

Additional domain

Is a domain name linked to the same web hosting account, but which concerns a website independent of the activity of the main site and domain name. The two sites have no relation to each other, are separate and are entirely different

Back up

Computer backup that allows you to recover data from a server. These backups can be done manually as they can be done automatically.

Browser

A browser is client software that allows a user to access the information they are looking for. To do this, the software must decode all Internet resources.

CGI

Common Gateway Interface is a method of using a computer program written in scripts. This method therefore allows interaction with the web server and is often used for forms: The web browser receives the information, sends it to a CGI script on the server, which stores it and then sends it back to a web page.

CMS

Content Management System is software or application designed for creating websites without prior technical knowledge of programming languages.

Cookies

Are files stored by the browser that collect and record information on site users and their journeys. Thus, when a user accesses the site for the second time, they do not have to re-enter their credentials since they are already stored in the browser.

cPanel

The most used web hosting control panel. With a simple interface, cPanel gives you access to all the main functions you will need to better manage your website. Using the WHM, an interface that accompanies the cPanel, the server administrator can operate several tools that make it the administrative console, namely the Mail Troubleshooting tool.

Shared hosting of servers owned by individuals or businesses, on the premises of an Internet service provider or Internet data center.

IP adress

(Internet protocol address) An identification number that uniquely recognizes the machine connected to the Internet and determines its location. In fact, domain names replace IP addresses as they are more readable, easier to remember and unlimited.

Internet backbone

A high-speed computer network that connects the smaller networks attached to it.

Is a database management system that allows you to store, organize and analyze large amounts of information in minimal time. Many sites, such as WordPress and Prestashop, use the MySQL system to store all the information for the proper functioning of the site.

Access by identifica, generally by pseudonym and password, to a computer network or protected Web space.

SSL certificate

Is a data file installed on a server and guaranteeing security between the server and the web browser. This certificate therefore enables the padlock to be activated and thus to switch from HTTP to HTTPS.

Transfer code / EPP code

Is one of the security measures taken into account to deal with domain name theft. Indeed, it is necessary to activate the transfer of a domain name from one host to another, such that if the person does not have one, they cannot transfer it.
