## What does an SSL certificate protect?

It encrypts exchanges between the browser and server and authenticates the domain. It does not replace updates, backups or protection of your website accounts.

## What is the difference between DV, OV and EV?

DV verifies domain control. OV also verifies the organisation. EV follows an extensive organisation validation process. These categories describe identity validation, rather than different encryption strengths.

## Does a Wildcard certificate cover several domains?

A Wildcard covers subdomains of one domain, such as shop.example.ma and mail.example.ma. It does not automatically cover different domains or every subdomain level. Check the exact product coverage before ordering.

## How does renewal work?

The catalogue states that a renewal order is generated as expiry approaches. After payment, automated configuration, validation and provisioning depend on conditions including a domain hosted with the same provider on a compatible cPanel, Plesk or DirectAdmin server. Required verification steps must still be completed.

## Are the displayed prices final?

Reference prices come from the MAD catalogue and are starting annual rates. The website promotion is displayed on this page. Checkout confirms the total, any taxes and the applicable discount before payment.

## My hosting already includes SSL. Do I need another certificate?

Cap Connect web hosting plans list an included SSL certificate. Check your coverage and validation requirements before ordering an additional commercial certificate. Our team can help you choose.
