Google Workspace, formerly G Suite, brings business email, video meetings, cloud storage and collaboration tools together in a single workspace.
Since its launch it has kept growing: new applications, artificial intelligence with Gemini, and editions suited to the size of your business. Here is what you need to know.
In addition to the standard applications you probably already know (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, etc.), Google Workspace gives you now access to several new assets that allow you to communicate with your customers and collaborate with your team seamlessly.

Google Workspace makes it easy to communicate and collaborate with your customers and colleagues: with Chat and Drive you can talk fluidly and work with your partners on the same document, as if you were in the same place.
In addition, you have the option of having an overview of the links in your Docs, sheets or Slides documents without opening a new tab. This allows you to waste less time, stay focused and saves you the trouble of having to navigate between your tabs.
That being said, another new tool that has to do with the mentions you add to your documents has been added. Now, when you @mention people on your documents, a contact details sheet, containing all the information you may need, will appear automatically.
You will even be able to add these contacts simply from the displayed card. All these benefits were added in order to guarantee efficient work where you save the maximum time.
A new identity
The change from “G Suite” to “Google Workspace” was not the only change Google made.
In fact, as you may have noticed, each Google app has its own colors. But today, Google aims to unify its products, as well as unify their colors and implement a new design that accurately reflects the purpose of Google Workspace.
The logos of the Google Workspace applications (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, Docs, Sheets and Slides) now follow a consistent set of colors.
Google Workspace editions
Google Workspace offers three Business editions, for teams of up to 300 users:
- Business Starter: 30 GB of shared storage per user, Meet for 100 participants, Gemini in Gmail, management and security.
- Business Standard: 2 TB of shared storage per user, Meet for 150 participants and recording, Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Meet and more.
- Business Plus: 5 TB of shared storage per user, Meet for 500 participants, Vault and advanced device management.
Storage is shared across the organization. AI features and limits vary by edition.
Gemini and the Google Workspace applications
Gemini helps you write, rephrase and explore ideas. Integrations depend on the edition; review the answers before sharing them.
Available applications: Gmail, Drive, Meet, Calendar, Chat, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gemini, Vids, Forms, Keep, Sites, Tasks, Gemini Notebook and AppSheet.
New solutions on Google Workspace
Google Workspace offers you new solutions depending on the size of your company.
